I am a lover of memories. Flowers have such a presence in some of our most memorable moments in life. Commonwealth Floral Company was created with the idea that everyone should be able to have flowers for the memorable moments in their lives. My vision is to provide all types of couples a personalized flower experience that is ecologically responsible and socially inclusive. My journey into the world of flowers started with a long depressing day at the office and some grocery store tea roses. Something about the playful petals caught my eye, so I brought them home.
While I loved my yellow tea roses, that first floral arrangement I made was far from lovely. To be frank, it was downright terrible. I had always assumed that flower arranging was so effortless and I was rather wrong. So I began a mission to find a way to create “effortless” arrangements. Each piece got a little better. Soon there were requests for arrangements in my office, then for birthday parties, and then weddings.
What drives this passion more than anything is that first, awe-inspired on a client’s face when they receive their flowers. Sometimes it's the bouquet you’ve fantasized about since you were little and other times it's the touching tribute to a lost loved one. That moment where, a dream becomes something you can hold and smell and see, is why I love being a florist.
Commonwealth Floral Company is a full service, inclusive floral design company based out of West Hollywood. We are welcoming to all couples and we specialize is LGBTQ weddings and events. No matter the couple or size of the wedding, we are here for you to ensure a personalized floral experience for your event. Not sure we’re a good fit? We totally get it. That's why we offer free consultations with our potential clients. We will chat with you in person( over coffee or a cocktail if that's your jam) if you’re local to the LA area. Out of LA or more comfy meeting from home, no problem, we can have a call or video chat with you and your partner.
As a full-service wedding florist, we offer everything from flower walls to elopement packages to our clients.
We are an environmentally responsible floral design company. We will typically use flowers that are in season for events and our pieces are free of floral foam unless absolutely needed to make your floral dreams come true.
We are socially responsible. Commonwealth Floral’s goal is to donate 10% of annual profits to LGBTQ charities, educational programs, and emergency funds.
